George Michael’s ex-lover Fadi Fawaz is sleeping rough on the streets of London after leaving £49-a-night Travelodge
GEORGE Michael’s former lover is sleeping on the streets after leaving the Travelodge he was staying in.
Fadi Fawaz, 46, had been at the £49-a-night hotel since George’s family got him booted out of the star’s £5million flat last month.
The ex-hairdresser checked out of the budget hotel hideaway on Monday and is now sleeping rough in Covent Garden, central London.
In a foul-mouthed online rant he blamed the pop star’s lawyers for his plight and claims he was tricked into moving out of the Wham legend’s flat in Regent’s Park.
Fadi was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage last month accused of smashing up the flat, as revealed exclusively in the Sun in Sunday.
He was George Michael’s lover and shared his £10million Highgate mansion but was left out of the pop star’s £97.6million will, revealed by The Sun in June.
Fadi told pals he was homeless in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
He wrote: “George Michael the ikon (sic) 3 years later and his lawyers still not done anything to sort me out so in last few days I have been sleeping in the street in Covent Garden instead of being in my home.
“They took the key by a trick the (sic) came out with it and now 2 months later still not heard anything I was staying in hotel and 2 days a go (sic) was stopped. What a cheap ikon this George f*****g Michael is.”
The Sun last month tracked Fadi down to the Covent Garden Travelodge where he bizarrely denied being Fadi and claimed he had never met George Michael.
Hotel sources said he checked out on Monday and has not been seen since.
Fadi had been a regular visitor to a cafe opposite the hotel where he sipped tea and coffee and ate snacks and always paid his bill with a credit card.
A worker said: “He was quiet but friendly and he would spend a couple of hours here then go back to hotel and sleep.
“He would come back two or three times a day. He always paid with his card. We liked him he was very nice. But I haven’t seen him for two days now and I am very worried. I hope he is OK.”
There is a homeless shelter 200 metres from the Travelodge and several homeless people hanging around in nearby streets.
One said: “I used to like Wham! back in the day, but I haven’t seen Fadi round here.”
Australian-born Fadi first met George in 2009 and they became lovers after his split with Kenny Goss. George was found dead at his mansion in Goring, Berks., on Christmas Day, in 2016.

In a statement Fadi said he found his lover dead in bed A leaked 999 call revealed the ex-hairdresser told call operators “He’s gone. He’s blue. He’s gone.” A coroners’ inquest ruled George died from natural causes brought on by heart and liver problems.
Homeless Fadi continued his angry online rant against his former lover on Facebook on Thursday.
He wrote: "What a f****d up ikon who was addicted to DHB and f*****g a crack head this George f*****g Micheal."
