EMMERDALE actor Asan N’Jie reportedly threatened to “knife” Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards during a bust-up.
Jamie is said to have approached the newcomer after a “completely unprovoked” jibe was directed at him by the young soap star. Here is what you need to know about the incident….

Soap stars Asan N’Jie and Jamie Lomas reportedly got into a scuffle backstage at the TV Choice Awards.
Hollyoaks’ Jamie, 44, is said to have squared up to Emmerdale’s Asan, 25, after the latter aimed a “sarcastic jibe at him”.
The remark is believed to have made Jamie furious, with the star reportedly confronting the ITV actor.
Stunned cast members had to pull the pair apart, however, “they went at it again”, with footage from the night showing bystanders having to intervene.
A clip of the bust up allegedly shows Asan scream: “Do you think you are a f***ing big man? I’m going to f***ing kill you."
According to The Mirror, he then whispered: "I’m going to f***ing knife you”, before an onlooker shouted: “This isn’t that kind of party, bro!”
Malique Thompson-Dwyer, 21, had to pull his former co-star Jamie away, while security staff escorted Asan off the premises.
What have onlookers said about the Asan N’Jie and Jamie Lomas incident?
One observer said: “Jamie was enraged by the sarcastic dig which seemed to come out of nowhere and was completely unprovoked.
“It was a real flashpoint which left fellow cast members shocked and one or two people remarking on how it was like a scene from a soap opera.”
The source added: “The bust up was only stopped from escalating as Malique quickly stepped in to defuse the situation and calm Jamie down.
“It was chaos. They were pushing, shoving and really getting in each other’s faces.”
"They got pulled apart but then went at it again. They were both absolutely furious,” they continued.
What has ITV said about Asan N’Jie?
Asan joined the cast of Emmerdale a year ago, as Jessie Grant’s son, Ellis, and attended the TV Choice Awards at the Park Lane Hilton on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 after being nominated for the Best Soap Newcomer gong.
However, he lost out on the award to young actress Kara-Leah Fernandes, who plays Bailey Barker on EastEnders.

A spokesman for ITV said: “We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at last night's TV Choice Awards involving one of Emmerdale's cast.
“Obviously we will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course.”
