THE Walking Dead has promised Michonne's exit will cause a ‘fallout and emotional consequences’ for season 10.
Actress Danai Gurira, who plays the popular character in the hit AMC show, confirmed she would be leaving the role earlier this year.
And fans can expect Michonne to go out with a bang, not a whimper, if showrunner Angela Kang's words are anything to go by.
Speaking to TVLine, Angela said "things of massive importance" will be revealed about Michonne, which will have "massive consequences."
She added: "We'll also get to showcase good, old-fashioned Michonne being a bad***.
Her words add to her previous comments about Michonne's exit earlier this year, when she said: "[Her exit] will obviously have some fallout and emotional consequences, but there's a very particular way in which it all happens, so hopefully it'll be surprising and interesting for our fans."
However, show boss Scott Gimple previously revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 that the show wasn't done with Danai or Michonne yet.
He said: "[Danai Gurira] has some amazing things ahead of her… and we're not completely done with her – I'll just say that."
Fans have speculated she could return in the Rick Grimes spin-off movie, but when asked about that, Danai said it was "the unanswerable question".
She added: "[I] don't know... neither would I tell you if I did. Ask the bosses, see if they crack!"

Of her exit, she said: "It was hard. It is hard. It was a very tough decision to make. To say goodbye to the character, it's deeply emotional.
"The journey that Angela and her team constructed for Michonne, I'm very, very grateful for it.
"You want to leave having out everything out there and they were so generous to me and allowed me that sort of an exit and I'm very thankful for that."
Series 10 of The Walking Dead is scheduled to start in the UK on Monday, October 7 on Fox UK.
