EMMERDALE star Natalie Ann Jamieson looks worlds away from her on-screen character Amy Wyatt in real life with flowing blonde hair.

The Geordie lass took to Instagram to show off her new style as she ditched her natural red hair for something a little different - and fans went mad for it.

The soap's hair and make-up squad helped transform the star into a blonde beauty and Amy couldn't have any been happier with the results.

Natalie posted a selfie, writing: "Chuffed face... nice new locks courtesy of @emmerdalemakeup #gotmyhairdid#newhair."

Emmerdale fans were quick to comment on the new look, with one remarking: ";You are gorgeous girl!"

Another wrote: "Looks amazing." A third simply said: "Gorgeous."

Natalie hit our screens in March for her debut as Amy, who was returning to the soap.

It left fans baffled as she looked completely different to Chelsea Halfpenny, who previously played Amy.

In 2013, Amy tried to flee the country and kidnap her baby son Kyle, but has now returned to the village.

The British actress - who has also appeared in episodes of Vera and Doctors - has recently been involved with the factory fire storyline alongside her on-screen mum Kerry, played by Laura Norton.

The pair accidentally caused a fire which resulted in the factory burning down and the death of Frank Clayton - and after his death was ruled out as arsonist by the police, Nate Robinson was pressured by Kerry to keep their secret.

Kerry then found Nate getting a little too close to Moira Dingle - as the two have been having a secret affair.

Viewers have seen the pair now having to keep quiet about each others' secrets.
