LORRAINE Kelly screamed as she was surprised by a terrifying clown who crept up behind her on her show this morning.
During a segment discussing new horror sequel It: Chapter Two with showbiz correspondent Dan Wootton, Lorraine was unaware that one of her production team was sneaking up behind her.
The clown then made Lorraine, 59, jump out of her skin as he said "Woo!" in her ear, prompting the telly legend to let out an ear-piercing scream.
The Scottish broadcaster continued to scream for a few seconds as she struggled to regain her composure, before breaking into nervous laughter as she realised she had been pranked by her team.
"That was horrible," she said.
"Oh you swines, you absolute swines! I hate clowns, I hate them. I need a gin!"
Laughing, Dan offered her his coffee mug and said: "There is some gin in mine."
It's safe to say Lorraine won't be queuing up to get her ticket to see the IT sequel, which hits cinemas today.
The flick, based on the characters created by horror writer Stephen King in his 1986 novel, is the follow-up to IT, which was released in 2017.
The first film went on to become the biggest grossing horror film of all time.
It follows a group of kids who are terrorised by Pennywise the clown, who lures them in with his sinister red balloon.
The sequel sees the misfits all grown up but still haunted by the terrifying creature.
It is set 27 years after the original and stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and Bill Skarsgard as the dancing clown.

Some critics, including The Sun's Jamie East, have complained, however, that the sequel's bum-numbing run time of two hours and 49 minutes is way too long.
Director Andy Muschietti's first cut of the film weighed in at an epic 4-hours.
