SECRET SON

EastEnders fans convinced mystery man Leo is Bianca Jackson’s son

EASTENDERS fans are convinced Bianca Jackson has a secret son – and he turned up in Walford this week.

The loudmouth former market trader – who is played by actress Patsy Palmer in the BBC soap – had a tense run in with a mystery man who was chatting to her daughter Tiffany Butcher on Tuesday night.

The mystery newcomer is Bianca’s secret son, according to fans

And when she dispatched with him telling him it was a family only wedding, he said that he was there for the same – but quickly added a different family in front of a confused Tiff.

But fans noticed his name in the credits as Leo and they’re convinced his run in with Bianca wasn’t as random as it could have appeared and instead think he is Bianca’s secret child.

One said: “As soon as I saw him on screen I thought straight away ‘secret son?’”

Another added: “I was thinking that Leo has something to do with Bianca. #EastEnders”

EastEnders boss Kate Oates told The Sun Online how Bianca’s brief comeback will lead into a huge story that will run even after she has gone.

She said: “It was always part of our plan to bring Bianca back. We knew that we wanted some classic names in the show for the September launch.

“Obviously we’re so lucky that Lucy Benjamin said yes to returning as Lisa and there was a story propelling her forwards.

“It’s the same with Patsy. What I think is key is that Patsy’s stint is shorter but it’s the catalyst she brings with her.

“We talked about it and we decided that the whole point of it was that it’s great to bring a name back, but only if it’s part of the story.

“We didn’t want to have that thing of: ‘Yay it’s Bianca! Bye then’. So we talked about it for a long time and having a story that propels after she’s gone.”

Executive producer Jon Sen added: “”It kicks off another long-term story for them all. I think that’s the way that soap works best, the constant cause and effect of all these characters that come back from the past and everything’s kicking off stories the whole time.

“Kate’s completely right – it was joyous when we said: ‘Oh, maybe we can get Bianca back’. Everybody’s really excited because she’s such an iconic character.

“But our diligence to the audience and the drama meant that we had to make sure it kicked off a story that will sustain now for 12 to 18 months.”
