Piers Morgan blasts Gordon Ramsay’s food as ‘inedible’ as he risks sparking yet another celeb feud

TV motormouth Piers Morgan has hit out at Gordon Ramsay's cooking calling it "inedible, horrible gruel".

The TV presenter revealed his disgust after he tasted one of the celeb chef's vegan dishes at The GQ Awards - and didn't hold back.

Discussing the food from the swanky bash, the Good Morning Britain host was talking to co-star Susanna Reid about her disappointing vegan choice off the menu by TV chef Gordon.

He said: "I had the crab and the beef wellington and Susanna went for the vegan option."

As he continued to talk, Susanna put her hands over her ears as if pleading with him to stop.

He added: "My wife got given that even though she didn't want it and both of them declared it one of the most disgusting things they'd ever eaten.

"So there's veganism! There's the future, no more beef wellington because Gordon's now into vegan food, or pretending to be because it's making him 'kerching'.

"The truth is that it was inedible, horrible gruel. Whereas I had a beautifully cooked beef wellington, which was delicious."

Susanna explained: "I seemed to have a plate of lentils in a sort of red wine reduction."

The 54-year-old had also just blasted David Beckham hours before the posh event and joked about the footballer receiving the Editor's Special Award.

He said: “Well done Dave, you’ve had another great year... Not sure what you’ve been doing.”

He then mocked Becks' cameo in King Arthur, performing an impression of Golden Balls with an exaggerated cockney accent saying: "Leave it out, sir!"

Piers isn't a fan of "Brand Beckham" and has called them 'annoying' in the past. He's also mocked David's leaked expletive-filled emails about the knighthood he's not yet received and his attempts to avoid a speeding fine.

Most recently he called David kissing daughter Harper on the lips 'creepy'.

The TV host has got plenty more on his list of celebs he's insulted including Madonna - recently calling her 'vain' and 'rude' while on The Graham Norton Show.

He's even angered Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor who famously pulled out of an appearance on GMB at the last minute over comments he made about last year's Women's March.

Piers Morgan's Top 5 Celeb Spat Quotes

He's the king of criticism but who has Piers had the biggest beef with in celeb land and what did he say?

1. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Piers raged about the Royal couple using private jets while preaching about the planet and said: "They are making themselves look like rank hypocrites and you can't as a Royal do that. You can't fly on private jets every 10 minutes using this bogus excuse about safety and then preach all the time as they do about the environment."

2. Jameela Jamil

Morgan hit back at JJ and the conversation about gender fluidity and self identity. He said to her: “Appalling that you just assume I am identifying as male tonight.”

3. Little Mix

The presenter barked at the pop stars at stripping off for their single Strip: “What is empowering about this? Get your kit off, airbrush yourself to within an inch of your lives… it’s nonsense. It’s just stripping off to sell records. It’s actually using sex and sexuality to sell records. That’s it. There’s nothing else to this.”

4. Lady Gaga

When the pop star opened up about her post-traumatic stress disorder in 2016, he said: "No, soldiers returning from battlefields [have PTSD]. Enough of this vain-glorious nonsense.”

5. Kim Kardashian

He once offered to buy KK some clothes after she posted a naked mirror selfie with only two black lines covering her private parts. He wrote: "I know the old man’s $50 million in debt, Kim - but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?”
