Beckhams face awkward night at GQ awards alongside David’s rival Piers Morgan and Brooklyn’s former fling Rita Ora
DAVID and Victoria Beckham faced an awkward evening with Piers Morgan and Rita Ora at tonight’s GQ Men of the Year Awards.
The former footballer, 44, was due to collect the Editor’s Special Award — after he was earlier mocked for it by Piers.
The Good Morning Britain host, 54, said on his show hours before: “Well done Dave, you’ve had another great year… Not sure what you’ve been doing.”
Singer Rita, 28, presented actor Richard Madden with the Most Stylish Man award — two years on from her fling with the Beckhams’ son Brooklyn, now 20.
In January, The Sun on Sunday revealed Victoria, 45, was furious with Rita after learning of her secret relationship with Brooklyn when he was just 18.
A month earlier David was also seen schmoozing with Rita at the British Fashion Awards, where he barely spoke to wife Victoria.
Kylie Minogue, 51, won the Icon award at last night’s bash at London’s Tate Modern.
She was seen embracing Nicole Kidman, 52, who was named Best Actress.
Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg, 16, was given the Game Changer gong.
Model Leomie Anderson, music stars Iggy Pop and Stormzy, actress Vicky McClure and TV host Maya Jama were among the guests.
They were joined by a string of other celebrities, including actors Stephen Fry and Sir Ian McKellen, comedian Aisling Bea, and radio DJ Vick Hope.
