Pregnant Lucy Mecklenburgh reveals her morning sickness is so bad she was sleeping on the toilet floor and vomiting constantly
REALITY star Lucy Mecklenburgh revealed that she suffers so badly from morning sickness that she was forced to sleep on the toilet floor and is left vomiting constantly.
The former Towie star, 28, and her fiancé Ryan Thomas, 35, announced their baby joy last month - although it hasn't been an easy journey for Lucy as she explained on her website, .
Writing in her blog, the TV star admitted she decided to share her struggle with morning sickness after she was inundated with fans asking for advice on how to cope with the pregnancy symptom.
She penned: "I'm writing this from the bathroom floor, which is where I have been for most of the night puking up. I am SO tired. Sleeping on a towel, on the bathroom floor, is actually possible and it’s not because I’m drunk (although I do feel like I’m hungover most of the time just without the fun night before).
Continuing to share an insight into her first trimester, Lucy explained that she suspected she was pregnant when "smells" made her feel "super nauseous" and was constantly tired.
"For most of us, I think it is the first symptom to make us suspect we are pregnant," she shared. "It definitely was for me. Smells were making me super nauseous and I felt an overwhelming tiredness to go with it which is what made me think 'hmmmm maybe I could be pregnant!?!'"
Despite the symptom being called morning sickness, the Essex beauty revealed that she suffered from the ailment in the evening.
Continuing: "Firstly, why the Hell is it called MORNING SICKNESS!? I had suffered evening, all night and the morning just to top it off. It’s also made me realise that I need to work on my pelvic floor muscles a bit more but apparently this is normal just another pregnancy treat I didn’t know about.
"In the morning, my general routine has changed to wake up at 4 or 5am, feeling starving and sick. I usually take a calm walk to the kitchen to make toast and a cordial. Humming to distract that awful nauseous feeling; holding my nose because the smell of the fridge, flowers, diffuser and well, frankly the smell of ANYTHING makes me feel sick."
Her candid comments come weeks after Lucy and fiance Ryan shared their exciting baby news last month and they were inundated with well wishes from friends and family.
However Ryan’s ex Tina - who he shares daughter Scarlett with - posted a series of cryptic posts after the news.
The actress, 36, uploaded a picture on to her Instagram account of a woman on a beach staring out to sea with the quote: "Don't waste your time with explanations. People will hear what they want to hear."
The quote is from author Paulo Coelho, who penned spiritual bestseller The Alchemist.
Many of her fans believe the quote was a response to the reaction her previous cryptic post received about "not trusting what you see on social media".
The ten-year-old broke down in tears as she was filmed being surprised with a box that said "open me" at a family party this weekend.
Breaking her silence for the first time since on social media on Tuesday, Tina posted the message: "Don't always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar."
Her followers quickly jumped to the conclusion she was making a dig at Ryan and Lucy publicly sharing the emotional moment, and she quickly deleted the post.
The latest cryptic post has also seen lots of reactions from her followers, who raced to comment on her Instagram.
Former Coronation Street star Ryan dated Tina for six years up until 2003 but split a year after Scarlett was born.
