Catherine Tyldesley accused of being a ‘triple threat’ by Strictly Come Dancing co-star
CATHERINE Tyldesley has been accused of being a "triple threat" by her ex Strictly Come Dancing co-star Jamie Laing.
The former Corrie actress already has her skills as an actress and a singer under her belt.
And once she starts to pick up some dance steps, Jamie, 30, thinks there will be no stopping her.
Speaking to The Sun Online before he was forced to withdraw from the series following a foot injury in rehearsals, he joked of Catherine: "She’s a triple threat, she’s like 'I can sing, act and now I can dance, I’m a triple threat."
However Catherine, 35, revealed her husband Tom - who is a personal trainer - isn't as sure about her abilities as Jamie.
She explained: "He thinks this is hilarious. A few weeks ago, cause I’ve only ever done weight training really, he was like ‘we need to get you fast on your feet, let’s get you in, do a bit of cardio’.
"We did literally a handful of sessions and he was like ‘now go fast’ and I said ‘no this is fast’ but apparently you’re built with fast fibres or slow fibres and I think mine are extra slow."
But singing her praises once more Jamie - who rose to fame on E4 show Made in Chelsea - said: "Cath is really good though.
"I promise you, she’s just got swagger, she walks in and every girls’ like ‘here she comes’."
But Catherine joked in reply: "I just think it’s cause I’m bottom heavy."
Catherine - who played Eva Price in Coronation Street - has adopted a healthy living regime for the last few years after being overweight as a teen.
But with the endless hours of dancing she'll be doing, Catherine is loving the fact she can eat what she wants and not worry about her waistline.

She said: "I spoke to Gemma Atkinson and was like ‘babes, help me out’ and she just said ‘only thing to do is let go of your inhibitions and enjoy it’.
"Everybody else who I know has done the show has said the same thing. Also, she was like ‘look after your body, eat as much as you can, sleep as much as you can’.
"And so far she’s right because I can’t stop eating. Burning so many calories, living my best life."
The Strictly Come Dancing launch show airs at 7.10pm on BBC One tonight.
