Love Island’s Michael Griffiths signs up for Ex On The Beach celebrity special in America after failing to find romance
LOVE Island’s Michael Griffiths has signed up for the Ex On The Beach celebrity special in America after failing to find romance.
The former firefighter had a tumultuous time on the ITV2 reality show this summer, ditching eventual winner Amber Gill for Joanna Chimonides, only to opt out of leaving with her to stay in the villa.
Joanna branded Michael a “snake”, and refused to take him back once he did eventually leave the show, and he has remained single ever since.
However The Sun Online can exclusively reveal how the 28-year-old has now signed up to MTV reality show Ex on the Beach in a bid to change his fortunes in the love stakes.
A source told us: “Michael was one of the stand out stars on this year’s Love Island thanks to his love triangle with Amber and Joanna.
“He’s had a lot of female attention since leaving the villa but hasn’t found that special someone, so he’s hoping this show will help fix that.”
It remains to be seen which of his exes will turn up on the show, although it’s unlikely to be Amber, 22, as she is currently dating her Love Island partner Greg O’Shea.
Michael will join a number of other former Love Islanders on the new series, including Georgia Steel and Niall Aslam, as well as reality star Lateysha Grace.
The Sun Online revealed last month how Georgia, 21, and Lateysha, 26, will bring plenty of excitement to proceedings.
A TV insider told The Sun Online: “Ex On The Beach bosses know Georgia and Lateysha are guaranteed to bring drama to the latest series with their no-nonsense attitude. They definitely won’t hold back.”
After a dramatic year in her personal life, Love Island star Georgia is looking for a fresh start since falling for an alleged fraudster.
She suffered troubled times in her love life after leaving the famous villa, claiming her ex stole her money and left her fearing for her life.
Meanwhile, Lateysha – who came to fame on The Valleys – has been forced to defend herself against “jealous” mums who claimed she was exploiting her toddler daughter by forcing her to model.
Former Towie star Lewis Bloor has also signed up to the series, and will come face to face with his ex Georgia Harrison.
