Adorable moment Ryan Thomas’ daughter finds out he’s having a baby with Lucy Mecklenburgh

THIS is the adorable moment Ryan Thomas' daughter found out her dad is having a baby with Lucy Mecklenburgh.

Ten-year-old Scarlett was at a family gathering when she was secretly filmed being surprised with a box that said "open me".

She pulled out a balloon from inside which had the words "you're going to be a big sister" written on its side.

As the news sank in, Scarlett – Ryan's child with former Corrie co-star Tina O’Brien - burst into tears as her family cheered around her.

She covered her face and sobbed as she was cuddled by her dad and Lucy who asked her if they were "happy tears". Nodding, the little girl suddenly wrapped her arms around Lucy as she told them how delighted she was about the surprise news.

Sharing the video clip with fans this morning, Ryan wrote: "....when Scarlett found out she was going to have a little brother or sister" alongside a heart emoji.

Last night Lucy revealed she was pregnant with her first child just two months after the pair got engaged.

She broke the news by sharing a snap of her baby bump as she opened presents on her birthday.

Showing a baby grow, Lucy captioned it: "Best birthday present I’ve ever had. love you @ryanthomas84."

The couple are yet to set a date for their wedding after Ryan popped the question during a romantic trip to Italy.

They threw a huge engagement party  aboard a boat on the Thames, complete with first dance, cake and speeches.

Although they're now expecting a child together, Lucy and Ryan will continue to split their time between their homes in London and Manchester.

Ryan still has a home in Manchester so he can be close to daughter Scarlett – and his family and friends all live there.

While TOWIE favourite turned fashion label and fitness firm boss Lucy has a place near London.

The pair met on Bear Gryll's Celebrity Island in 2017.
