The twelve names will make their debut on the dancefloor when Dancing With The Stars returns to US network ABC on September 16.

This is the 28th series of the long-running hit, which last year was won by US radio personality Bobby Bones, currently has no UK broadcaster.

The show, which is judged by Carrie Ann Imaba alongside Strictly's Bruno Tonioli and former head judge Len Goodman, is shaking things up this time around.

For the first time in its fourteen year history, the series - hosted by former game show host Tom Bergeron and sports correspondent Erin Andrews - will not reveal which celebrity has been paired with which professional dance partner until the show's opening episode.

Previous series of Dancing with The Stars have been won by the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Spice Girl Mel B.

Katherine Jenkins also famously came second when she took part in the 2011 series while Heather Mills put on her dancing shoes back in 2007.

Meanwhile, the UK version of the show also kicks off next month and features the likes of Anneka Rice, former Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley and EastEnders' Emma Barton.
