BRITS are out to enjoy a weekend of festivities in the sun at either Reading or Leeds Festival.

And today's weather promises to put out a good show for all the revellers. We take a look, below.

Reading Festival weather

Friday, August 23:  Temperatures reached 26C with some cloudiness.

Saturday, August 24: Perfect sunny weather graced the Reading stages with 28C of bliss!

Sunday, August 25: As for Sunday, an even warmer day of 31C highs is set to linger in the afternoon to round your long festival weekend out perfectly.

Leeds Festival weather

Friday, August 23: Revellers welcomed temperatures of 24C in the early evening.

Saturday, August 24: Balmy weather conditions saw temperatures soar to 27C.

Sunday, August 25: Brits are set to bask in yet another gorgeous day of music with slightly higher temps of 28C heat.

There are multiple stages at Reading and Leeds Festival, playing host to a variety of acts.

What's the weather like for the rest of the country?

A "tropical heat surge" is set to rescue summer by August Bank Holiday weekend - with temperatures set to nudge 30C (86F).

And the Met Office said it could be a record-breaking bank holiday weekend as the highest temperature on record is 31.5C.

The mercury could reach as high as 33C in the east on Monday and 32C on Sunday.

Overall temperatures will be higher than average for this time of year, with northern Britain seeing low 20s, but higher 20s in the south possibly reaching 30C on Saturday.

Sunday will see temperatures in the low 30s in eastern places, with other areas more comfortable.

Temps are set to rise again on bank holiday Monday, seeing warmer and more humid weather.

East Anglia and the south east could see highs of 33C.
