And Mick is said to have unusual demands for every hotel the band check into as part of their tour.

A source explained: "Mick always asks for a new mattress in his room, no matter how posh the hotel.

"But he insists the plastic wrapping stays on while someone sleeps for one night on the mattress to break it in."

The insider added to : "It’s an unusual request but, hey, he’s Mick Jagger. Does he need a new mattress every time? Why not?"

The band, which also includes Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts, shared a statement on social media that explained Mick would be back as soon as possible.

The star then returned to the stage just 11 weeks after having heart valve surgery.

It was previously reported that Mick "could have died" if his heart condition hadn't been spotted during a routine check-up.
