GARETH Gates has taken to Instagram to show off his muscular physique after ex-fiancee Faye Brookes hit the town last night.

The steamy post comes hours after the 35-year-old singer tried to attract his ex's attention with a video of himself singing about his recent heartache.

His latest effort saw Gareth flash his ripped abs as he wore a white tank top and shorts while posing in the gym mirror.

The star posted a boomerang video of his bod to his Instagram Story, alongside the caption: "Time for some morning abs".

Gareth and Faye called time on their engagement earlier this week, with devastated Faye hitting the town alongside her sister last night for a well-deserved night out.

Soon after photos of the 31-year-old beauty at Eden, Manchester emerged, Gareth stunned his fans by posting a video of himself singing Jason Mraz's 'I Won't Give Up' alongside a guitarist.

Gareth posted the video with his 97,300 followers and simply captioned it with a heartbroken emoji.

The singer proposed to Faye back in January after a seven-year on/ off relationship.

However, the romance fell apart in recent weeks, and they split just days ago.

Insiders previously told The Sun Online that cracks began to show as the pair had a series of jealous rows about Gareth's relationship with his ex-wife, Suzanne Mole.
