LITTLE WOMEN is heading back to the big screen with a new movie offering a fresh take on Louisa May Alcott’s 1868 classic novel.
Harry Potter’s Emma Watson and Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep star in the movie which is out this Yuletide season.
When is Little Women out in cinemas?
Little Women, an adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel, hits UK cinemas on Boxing Day.
This means you can enjoy the film over the Christmas holiday.
The film is rated U so it is one for the whole family to enjoy and runs for 2 hours and 14 minutes.
The drama is written and directed by Greta Gerwig, who worked on the 2018 Lady Bird with leading lady Saoirse Ronan.
Who is in the Little Women cast?
Little Women has a slew of famous faces on its cast list including Emma Watson, of the Harry Potter movies, as Meg March.
She stars alongside Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen and Saoirse Ronan who play the infamous March sisters – Amy, Beth and Jo respectively.
The women are joined by Timothée Chalamet, who plays their neighbour Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

Yes! Greta Gerwig’s upcoming version of the classic novel is the eighth cinema adaptation of the tale.
The last version starred Winona Ryder, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the film, and Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon.
Other stars in the flick included Claire Danes, Kristen Duns, Mary Wickes, and Christian Bale.
A mini-TV series was released in 2017, with three episodes starring Maya Hawke, Kathryn Newton and Dylan Baker, among others.
