BAD BLOOD

Taylor Swift says millions of trolls told her to ‘kill herself’ over Kim Kardashian feud as she lands Vogue’s iconic September issue cover

TAYLOR Swift says she felt people were telling her to “kill herself” after being publicly humiliated by Kim Kardashian.

The 29-year-old superstar — speaking three years after her last in-depth interview — admitted that her life spiralled “out of control” when the socialite branded her a “snake” on Twitter in 2016.

Taylor, 29, said: “A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote cancelled, is a very isolating experience."

“When you say someone is cancelled, it’s not a TV show. It’s a human being. “You’re sending mass amounts of messaging to this person to shut up, disappear, or — it could also be perceived as — kill yourself.”

Taylor had slammed Kim’s husband Kanye West, 42, for rapping “I made that b**ch famous” in his song Famous.

“I needed to make music because it was the only way I could preserve my mental health and tell the story of what it’s like to go through something so humiliating.”

Her experience inspired her 2017 album Reputation, which she refused to give interviews for. She explained: “I couldn’t figure out how I felt hour to hour.

“It’s so strange when you’ve been cast as this always smiling, always happy ‘America’s sweetheart’ thing, and then having that taken away and realising it’s actually a great thing because that’s extremely limiting.”

Taylor didn’t speak about her boyfriend of two years, British actor Joe Alwyn, 28, despite him being the inspiration for new album Lover.
