Gabby Logan says BBC should only pay women more than men if they deserve it
GABBY Logan has waded into the debate over the BBC’s gender pay gap again - pointing out that women should get paid more than men if they’re worth it.
The sports presenter made the remarks as she prepares to host Premier League football show, Back of the Net, on Amazon Prime Video.
Gabby said: “It’s not about equal pay it’s about the right pay and making sure people are paid fairly. There might be the opportunity for women to be paid more than men.
“For example you wouldn’t pay Serena Williams the same as a male player ranked at 120. It’s about fairness and not necessarily just saying parity across the board.
“There is still a gap at the BBC, it’s a bit of a tanker turn isn’t it, getting women into those positions?”
It seems to take the Beeb a long time to change anything.

On the BBC's salary list for 2018 - 2019, 12 of the BBC's top earners are men, while Claudia Winkleman is still the broadcaster's top paid woman at £370,000-£374,999.
This figure however does not include her Strictly salary.
The BBC insists their figures are better than last year in terms of the gender pay gap.
The split between men and women was 60:40 last year in terms of on-air talent earning over the £150,000 cut-off.
