LOVE Island’s Maura Higgins has admitted she’s not in love with Curtis Pritchard after he revealed he was open to dating men.
The Irish star – who came fourth on the show – insisted labels don’t matter as she was quizzed about the ballroom dancer’s bombshell announcement during an interview on today’s This Morning.
She said: “I mean we are very happy and we are taking things slow. You don’t need to put a label on anything.
"He makes me happy and I make him happy and that’s all that’s important."
“In the villa it is very different and now we are out of the villa, we just want to take things slow.”
When asked if she was in love, she replied: “I am not in love just yet but I am getting the feels.”
During an interview with The Sun over the weekend, Curtis revealed he wouldn’t rule out romance with a bloke.
He said: “I’ve been with women and I’m with a woman now. You can never put a label on anything. It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind. I can never ever say what will happen in the future. I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
Curtis famously refused fiery Maura’s sexual advances on the show, which led to complaints against the Irish grid girl for appearing to pressurize him.
But Maura revealed she finally bedded him when she travelled home to Ireland with him, days after leaving Mallorca, where the show is filmed.
During the interview Maura also addressed the facial expression she pulled when Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were announced the winners of the show.
She admitted: “I was just really shocked. I was expecting Tommy and Molly to win. It is Love Island, they were in love.
“Tommy and Molly are besotted with one another.”
Having joined the This Morning family as the show’s brand new presenter Maura revealed plans for her forthcoming new strand Maura Than Meets the Eye.

It will see her travelling up and down the country competing in various challenges and she revealed she will be going skydiving, which she is terrified about.
Maura said: “I’ve said yes, but I’ll probably have to be pushed out, I’m not going to lie. Terrifying, but I’m an adrenaline junkie. I’ll go for it. [Also] a bit of drifting. I’ve done it before, but I’m not a pro.”
Also as part of Maura’s new presenting duties for This Morning, she will be hosting the phone in on love dilemmas on Wednesday’s show.
