Amazon Prime’s The Boys season two release date, cast and trailer
PRODUCERS had so much faith in the show that a second series was already commissioned before the first season had even finished - but when can we expect to watch it?
Here's the lowdown on the hotly-anticipated follow-up instalment of the Prime Video show...
When is The Boys season two getting released?
Unfortunately Amazon is yet to announce an official release date for the second season.
Though hopefully the wait won't be too long yet.
And clearly the streaming site has a lot of faith in the second series as it commissioned it before the first season had even finished.
Filming for the hotly-anticipated follow-up is already underway so we could be looking at as early as the Spring or Summer of 2020 for the second instalment to be hitting our screens.
You'll just have to keep posted until then...
Who is in the cast of season 2 of The Boys?
It's likely that the same main cast from the first series will be back.
This means we will be seeing the likes of Chace Crawford (The Deep), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), and Erin Moriarty (Starlight) returning.
But producers have been remaining tight-lipped on specifics.
The only casting info to be confirmed is that the show will be welcoming Aya Cash - who'll be taking on the role of a super-powered neo-Nazi called Stormfront, who's set to challenge and conflict with The Boys.

Is there a trailer for the upcoming season?
Not yet!
Filming is only just in the swing of it so we may need to wait for that to wrap up before we can expect to get our hands on a trailer.
The cast are in Toronto shooting the new season as we speak - so we could be looking at a trailer by the end of the year or at least by early 2020 if we are lucky.
But in the meantime you can rejog your memory with the trailer for season one below:
