Maura’s dad gives his seal of approval to Curtis and reckons they’re going to win Love Island
MAURA Higgins' dad has given Curtis Pritchard his seal of approval - and reckons they are going to win Love Island tonight.
The 28-year-old star's mum and mum's boyfriend entered the villa to meet her partner in last night's show, but dad Seamus remained home in Ireland.
But the lorry-driver has now given his thoughts on his daughter's love interest ahead of the show's grand finale.
Beaming with his thumbs up, the proud dad said of Maura: "She's going to win it, Maura has won anyway."
When asked what he thought of Curtis, Seamus added to: "He's a grand man, he'd be f***ing useless driving a lorry, but he's grand."
While the Irish beauty was thrilled to see her "mammy" in last night's Love Island, her mum tickled fans when she appeared to be more excited to meet Ovie Soko.
Maura's mum was seen pushing Curtis out of the way to give Ovie a huge hug, telling him: "This is the man I want to see!"
She later sparked speculation that she isn't a fan of the professional dancer during a chat with her daughter.
In an awkward conversation, the Irish beauty's mum only managed to call Curtis "nice", before adding: "There's obviously something that you see in him."
She added that she "trusted" Maura to do the right thing, convincing viewers at home that she doesn't like Curtis.
One cynic wrote: "Maura's mum doesn't rate Curtis at all and neither do I."
Another added: "Maura’s mum definitely doesn’t like Curtis lmao".
Meanwhile Curtis' own mother was slammed after repeatedly failing to pronounce Maura's name correctly, instead calling her Moira.
The Love Island final, sponsored by Uber Eats, kicks off tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
