LOOSE Women has divided viewers over the debate on Maura Higgins pressuring Curtis Pritchard for sex on last night's Love Island.
On today's show a clip was shown of Maura's actions last night and the studio audience was heard loudly laughing at Curtis as he had to repeatedly tell Maura he did not want sex that night.
The audience's laughter and subsequent comments made by the panel enraged viewers.
Amid the Love Island's double standards backlash, achor Kaye was hosting the debate about Marua's behaviour and said: "I'm not sure it always is like for like actually.
"Nowadays we're always pondering the whole gender equality thing. I think there is a different power dynamic, isn't there? And if we saw a young man appearing to pressure a young girl and her feeling as if she was buckling that would make us feel uncomfortable.
"Whereas Curtis was able to, although he might have felt a bit shame faced about it, he said no and she kind of backed down. You didn't feel like he was being pressured into something or that there was going to be any sort of compulsion. Consent is the issue."
As Brenda pointed out that Maura went on to tell others about Curtis in an effort to put further pressure on him, Devil's Advocate Kaye defended Maura again insisting nothing was private on Love Island.
Kaye also pushed Brenda to talk about whether she would be annoyed if her partner had rejected her sexual advances.
Nadia also defended Maura, saying: "I think she was just hurt. She was hurt."
But Nadia went on to criticise Molly-Mae for her comments to Maura about being livid if Tommy had rejected her.
Nadia added: "That jarred with me more because no-one should be angry if the other one isn't fancying."
Kelle added: "It's a credit to him because he didn't want to do it in public. He should be given credit for not wanting to do that in that place with everybody watching. It's national television. Some things should be private.
"In his defence I think it's OK for him not to be up for it."
Kaye then said she was dying to see what other excuses Curtis would have for not having sex on television, to laughter from the audience, and the jovial attitudes had some viewers enraged.
One wrote: "If this was 4 men discussing how a woman didn't want to have sex there would be holy war. #maurahiggins #LoveIsland #LooseWomen"
A second said: "The way mentioned them girls all acted when discussing Curtis saying no was disgusting, molly saying she’d of kicked him out of bed. Curtis should be commended. You shouldn’t have to justify saying no #LoveIsland #loosewomen"
