LETHAL Weapon, starring Emmy nominated Damon Wayans, returns this summer for its third and final series.
The hit US police drama will follow Damon’s character Murtaugh as he continues to work in a crime-ridden Los Angeles. Here is what you need to know.
When does Lethal Weapon season 3 start?
Season three of Lethal Weapon will air Friday, July 26, 2019 on ITV from 9:00 to 10:00pm.
The third instalment is the final series and will introduce new character Wesley Cole (played by Seann Willian) to the mix.
Lethal Weapon season three is made up of 15 episodes, with each lasting one hour and airing every Friday.
Matthew Miller’s show, which is based on Shane Black’s film franchise, was first released in 2017.
Who is in the cast of Lethal Weapon season 3?
Damon Wayans (Roger Murtaugh)
Damon Wayans is known most for his comedy roles - leading the cast of sitcom My Wife and Kids, playing head of the house Michael Kyle for the show's 123 episode run.
He was also in the long-running TV series In Living Colour, The Underground, and film Last Action Hero.
The star is the second eldest Wayans Brother - with his siblings Keenan Ivory, Shawn and Marlon all becoming prominent and recognisable comedians in Hollywood.
His son, Damon Wayans Jr, is also an actor, most recently being seen in smash hit sitcom New Girl as Coach.
Keesha Sharp (Trish Murtaugh)
Keesha Sharp shot to prominence most recently as Dale Cochran in the widely successful biopic series American Crime Story: The People Vs OJ Simpson.
She was also Monica in the series Girlfriends and appeared in three episodes of the short-lived series Bad Teacher - a TV adaptation of the Cameron Diaz film of the same name.
Her most prominent role before this was Gigi in TV's Are We There Yet? which ended in 2012.
Kevin Rahm (Brooks Avery)
Kevin has been in a string of successful TV shows and films, despite never having a leading role.
He played Ted Chaough in Mad Men, Bob Paris in Bates Motel, and Mike Marnow in Madam Secretary.
He also appeared in 2014 thriller Nightcrawler, 2004's reboot of Alfie and was even in an episode of Friends (in case you were wondering he was Monica's sous-chef who dated Phoebe and then they both raced to dump/fire him first).
Johnathan Fernandez (Scorsese)
Despite being in a string of TV shows, Johnathan Fernandez is mostly known for his stand-up work.
Scorsese is his first, long-standing role on TV, with only one-off appearances in albeit well-established shows.
These include Girls, Younger and The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
He's also participated in sketches for Last Week With John Oliver and The Colbert Report.
The actor has also appeared in a series of TV sketches made by the performance troupe Upright Citizen's Brigade - which started the career of talents including Bill Maher, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to name just a few.
Wesly Cole (Sean William Scott)
Sean is known for starring in a string of comedy flicks, including Dude, Where’s My Car and several American Pie movies.
The actor has also voiced Crash in the Ice Age movies, as well as the television and video game version of the popular family film.
He had the lead role in Aerosmith’s music video, Hole in My Soul from the rock band’s album Nine Lives.

Why did FOX cancel Lethal Weapon?
Fox revealed the series has been dropped from its network and would not be returning for season four in May, 2019.
Charlie Collier, the CEO of FOX spoke about the "series of tough choices we have to make this time a year" with .
He continued: "In the quest to be number one, you have to make tough choices, and Lethal Weapon was unfortunately on the other side (of the bubble).”
A recent report claimed the comedy-drama series had experienced a slump in ratings.
6.5 millions viewers tuned in per episode during the first season, however, viewership fell to an average of 4 million in series two.
By the third instalment ratings had fallen to roughly 3 million.
