Oscar winner Natalie, 37, hammed it up as her new role was announced at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

She looked stunning in a floral bodice with a floaty taffeta skirt as she was brought on stage by director Taika Waititi.

The actress, who has been in the Thor films before playing Jane Foster, will make her comeback in Thor 4: Love And Thunder, but this time with a meatier role.

Her last performance was in Thor’s second instalment, 2013’s Dark World.

Marvel boss Kevin Feige announced at Comic-Con that Natalie would return as Jane Foster.

She becomes a female God of Thunder herself, when Thor is unable to lift his hammer due to apparent unworthiness ( which was explored in Avengers: Endgame).

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson will return as Thor and Valkyrie.
