Prince Harry’s ex Ellie Goulding will invite royal cousins Beatrice and Eugenie to her wedding – but Harry & Meghan Markle unlikely to be there
ELLIE GOULDING was the last lady Prince Harry snogged before he met Meghan Markle.
So it seems unlikely the Duke of Sussex will be attending the pop singer’s upcoming nuptials at the end of August.
But I can reveal his fame-hungry cousins, princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are planning to be there as guests of honour, along with mum Sarah Ferguson, cementing their status as the ultimate celebrity hangers-on.
The Love Me Like You Do singer is marrying Eton-educated art dealer Caspar Jopling at either York Minster Cathedral or a smaller chapel also in Yorkshire. A VIP reception will follow at stately home Castle Howard.
The elaborate celebration for 300 friends and family will include a posh festival in the grounds, with VIP pods for guests to stay in and golf buggies to move people around.
Pal Rita Ora and ex-fling Ed Sheeran have both been invited, as have Prince William and Kate — at whose wedding reception Ellie sung.
Ellie’s guests will have the option of designer vegan food.
She is serving Bollinger champagne and has spent more than £20,000 on flowers alone.
Ellie is considering a brief 15-minute performance herself during the reception, but a DJ will play classic Nineties pop, including the Spice Girls.
Another performance by a mystery guest is also planned.
A massive security team has been hired for the day and there will be one waiter for every three guests.
Ellie and Caspar announced their engagement in The Times last August with a traditional notice that read: “The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”
