LOVE Island’s Joanna Chimonides has admitted that it’s “hard to watch” her ex Michael Griffiths crack on with Amber Gill again after she left the villa.

He refused to leave with Joanna when she was dumped from the villa earlier this week.

She branded him a “snake” and told him to “crack on” as she made her dramatic exit.

And now, after Amber went on a date with hot Irishman Greg, Michael has finally realised he still has feelings for his ex.

Talking to Belle he explained that he thinks Joanna was “stand-offish” with him.

And Joanna had tears in her eyes last night as she explained how she felt about Michael.

“So obviously I’ve had to just pause the TV purely because for me being stand-offish is more me having respect for those in in the villa because someone else is hurting in there,” she said.

“It’s hard for me to watch this right now I’m not gonna lie.”

Michael and Amber’s relationship has had it’s fair share of ups and downs, but in last night’s episode the firefighter admitted he still has a soft spot for the beautician.

He said: “Now Joanna has gone it’s given me time to think about things, and I realise I do like Amber.

“I feel like I need to do myself a favour and let her know.”

The confession came after new boy Greg O’Shea entered the villa and took Amber on a date with him.

Joanna was forced to leave the villa in a shock elimination over the weekend

Michael was left single when Islanders decided to save him over Joanna in a shock recoupling over the weekend.

The tattooed hunk cried in the following days after Joanna’s departure, despite her asking him to leave with her if he truly felt he had found “what he had been looking for”.

However, Michael decided to stay in the Spanish abode without Joanna.

Prior to the sudden elimination Amber pulled Michael to one side during the club night to speak “from the horses mouth” and told him she still likes him.

But in the days in between now and then Amber has been hurt by Michael.

Not only did he say there was nothing keeping him in the villa when Joanna left, and gushed over Joanna, he also spoke abruptly to her and ordered her to “sit down” when he told her he still was not interested in her.

After speaking with Ovie Michael decided to apologise for the way he spoke to Amber, but a few hours later and he made the U-turn.

Ovie urged Michael not to ignore his feelings because of his pride.

Michael decided to couple up with Joanna when the boys and girls were divided into two villas and the female Islanders were sent to Casa Amour.

Amber remained loyal to Michael and did not couple up with any of the new boys, while Michael sparked up a romance with Joanna.

In the recoupling he claimed he had been “biting his tongue” with Amber, and found faults in their romance he disliked, while Joanna brought out the happier side to him.
