EastEnders star Tameka Empson taking a break from the soap after ten years as feisty Kim Fox
EASTENDERS legend Tameka Empson has decided to take a break from the soap after ten years of playing feisty Kim Fox.
Tameka, 42, who will return to Albert Square again in the future, has brought the character to life since 2009 and viewers will see Kim tell sister Denise her plans to move away next week.
Kim will reveal she's heading north Scotland to start a new life and job after months of rows at the salon.
The two sisters put their differences aside and will part ways on a happy notes despite huge bust ups over the years - leaving the door open for Tameka's return.
Tameka has since won several awards including Funniest Female Performance at the Inside Soap Awards.
In 2014 she was absent from the soap for five months when she gave birth to her daughter Nylah.
Three years later, Tameka's character suffered a miscarriage on the soap.
Earlier this year the actress spread her wings and joined the cast of 101 Dalmatian Street playing Pearl Police Horse.
In March, she took part in Comic Relief Does The Apprentice with Amanda Holden, Rylan and Sam Allardyce.
She appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016 with professional partner Gorka Marquez.
Speaking to the BBC prior to the series starting Tameka said, "I've been waiting for years to take part in Strictly!".
Tameka was the second to be booted off the show during a dance-off with Laura Whitmore.
