Sheridan Smith shocks Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat cast with ‘biggest willy’ question
SHERIDAN Smith has turned the airblue in new musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by asking which male dancer is the best-endowed.
The actress, 38, who is appearing as the narrator in the West End show, made the rather off-colour comment in front of co-stars last week.
An insider said last night: “Sheridan seemed in high spirits and was laughing and joking during rehearsals. Then suddenly she asked a dancer which one of the male troupe had the biggest manhood.
“The question prompted laughter from the cast but the dancer was a bit lost for words because it came out of nowhere.
“He didn’t answer, nor did the other dancers there, who all looked awkward.”
Sheridan apparently failed to pick up on their discomfort.
The source went on: “After a bit of pushing, she eventually had to let the joke go. But before she did, she told them cheekily: ‘Well, I’m going to find out’. It was a funny moment, though some felt she had gone a bit too far.”
Sheridan is winning rave reviews for her performances alongside Jason Donovan and Jac Yarrow, who plays Joseph, at the London Palladium.
The actress, who has starred in TV shows and won two Olivier Awards for her theatre work, admitted earlier this year she could be a bit over-the-top.
She said: “I’d be told by publicists how to behave, and I’d forget and just say exactly what I thought. I drank pints and made rude jokes and was brilliant at saying the wrong thing.”
