HEARTBROKEN Love Island star Amy Hart has LEFT the villa after her devastating split from ballroom dancer Curtis Pritchard.
The former air-stewardess, 26, told producers she wanted out after an overwhelming week which saw her "half-boyfriend" dump her.
Her shock exit, — making her the fifth islander to leave the villa in 24 hours, comes after the blonde was removed from the house last week and given extra therapy by the wellbeing team.
Fans of the reality show have been concerned about Amy's "fragile" state of mind and begged bosses to get her out for her own good.
She became even more upset when Irish beauty Maura started openly flirting with Curtis in front of her.
A source close to Amy said: "It was Amy's decision to walk from the villa as she felt she had got as much as she could from the experience.
"She fell in love, had her heart broken and couldn't stand the thought of seeing Curtis crack on with other girls while under the same roof as her.
"She was given therapy and support by the producers at ITV and they felt she was emotionally sound enough to make her own decision. They would never dream of keeping someone in there if they weren't happy about it.
“Amy is a strong woman who knows her own mind and the show has given her the confidence to give finding love on the outside a go."
Her decision to walk comes after days of agonising scenes that saw Curtis fall for Jourdan Riane, 24, though Amy was blissfully unaware at the time and was telling housemates she was falling in love with him.
It was shortly after after she told this secret to housemates that Curtis, the brother of Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ, left Amy heartbroken by dumping her following her return from Casa Amor.
The scene prompted more than 200 complaints to watchdog Ofcom.
Tearful Amy spoke to the show's therapist about her woes.
She said: “I thought I’d met my first love and ‘the one’ and it turns out I haven’t. I’m someone’s back-up plan yet again.
“I wouldn’t have ever looked at anyone else. He was my future and now I have nothing and he’s taken that away from me.”
