Controversial Channel 4 series The Windsors will show Prince Harry and William at war over their wives Kate and Meghan
THE WRITERS of controversial comedy The Windsors have got a treasure trove of material to work with following the Royals’ recent dramas.
And, boy, are they mining it for the third series — as they get stuck into the feud between Prince William and Harry.
I’m told that the Channel 4 show — last seen as a one-off Royal Wedding special in 2018 — will focus on their rift when it airs later this year.
It will see William, played by Hugh Skinner, and Harry (Richard Goulding) fall out over their wives, but reconcile while attempting to get their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
And their partners are at it, too. According to plans for the very funny series, Meghan (Kathryn Drysdale) finds Kate “stiff and up herself” and wonders if she has been replaced by a robot.
But the writers don’t stop there.
Camilla ends up leaving Charles, played by the brilliant Harry Enfield, and shacks up with the female manager of the Highgrove gift shop, after bonding over a jar of expensive honey.
With his new-found freedom, Charles decides he is fed up of waiting for the top job and quits England to become “King of America”.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie also take a battering from writers. The “working girls” are seen to be making it in the real world – getting up at 11.30am every day, not just Monday to Friday.
It would be funnier if it wasn’t so accurate.
Kym willing and table
KYM Marsh is clearly trying to scrimp and save after quitting Coronation Street.
The actress turned up at a furniture store at the weekend for what I would imagine were some free house fittings.
She was accompanied by her daughter Emilie on the shopping expedition to Macclesfield, Cheshire.
The Sun revealed in February that Kym was leaving the cobbles after 13 years playing former landlady Michelle Connor.
At least with this furniture collaboration she won’t be nabbing any of the stools from the bar at the Rovers.
Keeley's role is an honour
KEELEY Hawes is set to star as a detective in a drama about the shocking murder of Banaz Mahmod, killed by her own family.
DCI Caroline Good brought five family members to justice in 2006 after the young Londoner was killed for falling in love with the wrong man.
Honour, a two-part drama, is being penned by Vanity Fair writer Gwyneth Hughes and produced by Keeley’s company Buddy Club.
Keeley, who begins filming in September, said: “It is a privilege to be working on Honour.
“In a time where honour killings are still rife, it is critical to shine a light on such an important subject. Banaz Mahmod’s story is one that needs to be told.”

Noel: Feud will live forever
NOEL Gallagher will never end his decade-long feud with his brother Liam, according to Dermot O’Leary.
The X Factor host interviewed the rocker for the BBC2’s Reel Stories and said Noel had made it clear he’d never make up with him.
Dermot said: “I don’t think he spoke about him affectionately but he spoke about him with respect for what they had done. He said it’s done and there is nothing.
“Oasis were together for almost 20 years and they don’t need another chapter to be written. He didn’t want to write stadium rock, now he can do whatever he likes.”
But while Noel isn’t pals with his brother any more, the pair still have one thing in common – swearing, which is why they were forced to air the show on a late-night slot.
He added: “I had a chat with the BBC before and they had two slots, one post-watershed and one pre-watershed. I went for after the watershed. He’s still quite sweary.”

REGULATOR Ofcom has found Channel 5 documentary The Sex Business to be in breach of broadcasting rules for scenes involving “extreme, graphic sexual activity” that aired just an hour after the watershed.
soapbox
HE’s only been back in Walford for 24 hours, but Ian is already making an enemy of Max in tonight’s episode of EastEnders.
The businessman is sure Max is to blame when he sees Bobby’s bruised face and has it out with him in the market.
Max denies all knowledge and Ian is left ruing his decision to lash out when he later discovers Masood is no longer his partner at the restaurant and Max is.
Meanwhile, over on Emmerdale, Bear’s nervous as his Woolpack football team kick off their first match.
And former professional and pundit Chris Kamara is in charge of the opposition, as he makes his first cameo in the soap.
No doubt Chris will be hoping to be a little more successful in the pub league than when he was sacked in the Nineties after just three months as Stoke City boss.
Cyborg is BBC's rude bot
THE Beeb’s news bosses seem to be getting some inspiration from Love Island’s graphic content.
Viewers were given a rude awakening during BBC Breakfast on Monday when they saw a robot sticking its middle finger in the air.
The cheeky image was part of a graphic behind Steph McGovern as she explained to hosts Jon Kay and Louise Minchin how machines could one day take over humans’ jobs.
Viewers who tuned in at 7.50am spotted the rude android’s gesture as business presenter Steph revealed that 37 per cent of UK jobs would disappear or dramatically change due to artificial intelligence.
Author Mhairi McFarlane joked on Twitter: “BBC News discussing robots taking human jobs and it looks like the cyborg behind you has a message for us.”

Viewer Linda Marr asked: “Is it OK that BBC Breakfast show us a picture of a robot giving us the finger?”
And another viewer added: “Catching up on my Monday morning current affairs, and robots taking over jobs, and that robot is looking a little too smug for my liking. Is he flipping the bird on live TV?”
This robot looks like he’s trying out for Gordon Ramsay’s job.
