Coleen and Wayne Rooney treat all four of their kids to ice cream on family day out

COLEEN and Wayne Rooney treated all four of their kids to ice cream on a cute family day out in Washington.

The couple, who have just celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, happily posed for a picture in a park with sons Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and 16-month-old Cass.

All six wore shorts and T-shirts in the sunshine, with Washington DC United star Wayne the only one to resist the sweet treat, instead opting for a bottle of Coke.

He shared the family portrait with his 14m Instagram followers, simply captioning it with an ice cream and heart emoji.

Despite suffering turbulent times during their marriage - most recently Wayne's arrests for being drunk and swearing at an airport in Virginia in January, and his drink driving conviction in 2017 - Wayne and Coleen have seemed more loved up than ever recently.

The mum-of-four shared an honest post about their relationship having "highs and lows" as the couple celebrated their 11th anniversary on June 12.

Footballer Wayne, 33, also shared a heartfelt snap of the pair raising a glass on their wedding day.

He gushed: "Happy Anniversary @coleen_rooney. 11 years today! Love you girl."

A source told The Sun in February that Coleen, 33, demanded the footballer get help to curb his wayward antics.

They said: “Coleen is adamant Wayne can change his ways and she is helping him get out of the hole he’d fallen into.

“First to go was his video gaming obsession and Coleen is demanding he spend more time with the family at home, rather than in a different room staring at a screen. She is desperate for Wayne to end his childish antics and start growing up."

Meanwhile, Wayne is impressing in Major League Soccer. He was named as DC United's captain after just three games in his first season last year, as well as winning the golden boot - most goals scored in a season - having scored 12 goals in 21 matches.
