Inside Alison Hammond’s incredible weight loss journey with hardcore gym workouts and healthy meals after This Morning star stuns with slimmed down selfie
ALISON Hammond shocked her fans earlier this week when she shared a stunning new selfie highlighting her incredible weight loss.
Her followers thought it was a picture of Beyonce and praised her new look, which she has clearly worked hard for if her Instagram profile is anything to go by.
This Morning star Alison, 44, was unveiled as a Weight Watchers ambassador back in April when she came in at 20-stone on the scales.
And in one of her Instagram highlights, Alison has documented her journey over the last 12 weeks as she transforms her diet and overhauls her exercise regime.
Alison somehow manages to juggle regular gym sessions around her TV commitments, which take her all over the world filming competitions, interviewing celebrities and generally having a blast.
As well as weight training, Alison – who jetted to Rome with Joe Swash yesterday – also uses exercise bikes and gym steps for cardio.
When she isn’t able to make it to the gym, Alison heads out for long walks, sharing a number of videos on her profile including one of her doing a 5K.
The mother-of-one has also transformed her diet, swapping out fatty snacks for healthy options including lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Alison must be a dab hand in the kitchen as she’s also shown off her homemade turkey Scotch eggs and low calorie prawn stir fry.
However the star still allows herself a treat here and there, and shared a funny video of her eating some chocolate cake five weeks ago to the 2000 hit Sweet Like Chocolate.
A week later, Alison had achieved a stone weight loss goal at Weight Watchers – which now goes by the name WW – and shared a picture of it on her profile along with the words: “Goal achieved, when you know you know.”
Speaking about joining Weight Watchers the presenter previously revealed: “My WW journey is focused on getting healthier for myself. I feel rubbish when I don’t eat properly or exercise and WW helps me with what I eat and do.
“I want my journey to empower others to think about making changes to their lifestyle to become the best version of themselves.”
But single mum Alison, who has son Aiden, 13, admitted her busy lifestyle has distracted her from making a change in the past.
Alison continued: “It’s been 17 years since I began working in TV, and I’m busier than ever, especially juggling my duties as a mum.
“WW is the only programme that works for me, with the Online WW Coach there for support whenever you need it, 24 hours a day.”
Alison previously confessed that her 20 stone weight left her “embarrassed”.
She told Planet Radio in 2016: “‘When you get really big like me, you don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.’
“I’d love to weigh 12 stone, that’s the ideal weight for my height.
“I’m 5ft 9in, but if I was 15 stone and around a size 14 to 16 I’d be over the moon.”
