Spice Girls show snubbed by Victoria Beckham as she jets off to US to avoid ‘awkward’ encounter
WHILE A-list fans were jetting in to party backstage with the Spice Girls at Wembley Stadium, Victoria Beckham is jetting out.
She has booked a business trip in the US just as Girl Power reaches the capital.
That is despite an open invitation to join her former bandmates at what are the biggest gigs of the summer.
Insiders suggest her trip to The States was carefully planned.
A source tells me: “Victoria has wished the girls all the best but made it clear she doesn’t want any part in the tour.
“Going along to watch and hang out with them felt awkward. She has been invited, of course, but she knew sitting at home up the road would make her look bad too.
“So she decided to make herself scarce and take a tactical trip out of town.”
It’s Victoria’s loss. I joined the legions heading for last night’s show — including superstars Adele, Emma Stone, Sam Smith and Haim.
They were invited to celebrate the hugely successful reunion run by Geri Horner, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C.
Gushing about the success of the tour, the group said: “This is so incredible.
“We can’t believe it. The last couple of weeks have been magical. To be back together and celebrating with all our fans is an absolute joy. We want to say a very special thank you to everyone who has supported us.
“It’s phenomenal that over 20 years later, our music and message still resonates with so many people.
“This tour has been one of the greatest things we’ve ever done. It’s all been like a brilliant dream.”
Charlie XCX rated
THE new Charli XCX album should fly off the shelves with this cover.
She announced that her third record, simply called Charli, will be released on September 13.
The collection is her first record since 2014’s Sucker and features 15 tracks, among them collaborations with Sky Ferreira, Troye Sivan and Christine and the Queens.
Fans can see Charli in Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester in October, before a final gig at Brixton’s O2 Academy in South London on Halloween.
Yesterday she put out a video for single Blame It On Your Love with Lizzo. It’s good to have her back.
Miley's sticky situation
MILEY Cyrus has got herself in a sticky situation – taking a bath in pink milkshake.
In the video for a song from the latest series of Black Mirror, she wears just a lilac wig.
Miley appears as a pop star called Ashley O in the Netflix show, which hit the streaming service last week.
And she has now released her character’s song On A Roll along with the new visuals.
With the video racking up more than 300,000 views in less than three hours, Miley’s pink milkshake is bringing more than just the boys to her yard.

MADONNA, whose album Madame X is out this week, has summed up being a mum of six.
She said: “The more kids you have, the better you get at being a parent. It’s like everything. The more songs I write, the better I get as a songwriter.”
Robbie: X axe won't last
THE last time Robbie Williams made a U-turn he got back with Take That.
This time he says he will be back as an X Factor judge after giving up his job for the next series.
He explained he turned down the show as he will be focusing on releasing his Christmas album, but he does want to return and he said Simon Cowell begged him to come back.
Robbie said: “We wanted it desperately to work with the X Factor.
“It is to be continued because Simon and I are good friends, our family are friends and our kids hang out all of the time.
"It is a pause on the relationship and then it will carry on. This year I have to promo my album.”
The show has clearly made a lasting impression on him as he also revealed he is the new co-owner of LMA, a university centre for music and performing arts, in Liverpool, from which a choir of the same name was in his category last year.
I sense a collaboration coming on.

- JUSTIN Bieber has back-tracked after challenging Tom Cruise to a fight. He said yesterday: “I was just playing, it was just a random tweet. I’m pretty sure Tom would whoop my ass in a fight. I’d have to get super in shape, I’m really skinny right now. He’d probably be out of my weight class. He’s got that dad strength.”
- Mark Ronson has admitted he is still struggling to come to terms with being an Oscar winner. His ballad, Shallow, with Lady Gaga, scooped Best Original Song in February, and he said: “It’s so surreal. It was so wild to write that song. We wrote it in a day and then the movie was so great, and all this stuff happened. It’s crazy.”

Ed's not so Perfect meeting
HE is the Oscar-winning director responsible for Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later – but Ed Sheeran had no idea who Danny Boyle was.
The Perfect singer features in his new Beatles-inspired film, Yesterday, but Danny caught Ed looking him up online during their first meeting with writer Richard Curtis.
On The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on Radio 2, Danny said: “We had a very funny meal at Richard’s place.
"It was for Ed to meet me and to see if we got on. I don’t think he knew who I was, because I could see he had my IMDb page up and he was signalling to his mates, who were at the meal, ‘Is this [Danny]?’
“He’s got a great sense of humour.”

LILY James played cheery Donna Sheridan in her most recent film, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again.
And she could do with that big-screen smile here. She put on the scowl for an ad campaign for a scent by posh fashion label Burberry.
Away from the couch the cash she must be raking in for lounging about should be enough to cheer her up.
