DAVID Beckham has roped in his dad Ted, 71, to help flog his whisky for Father’s Day.

The 44-year-old and Ted shared a series of funny stories and heart-warming anecdotes for a new advert - while sipping a Haig Club whisky.

Turning to his footballer son in the clip, Ted said: "You've turned out exactly how I want you.”

Discussing his childhood, David told him: "The moment I got home from school, I'd turn around to you and say, 'Let's go to the park or let's go out in the garden.' And you never said no to me."

David, who shares children Brooklyn, Cruz, Romeo and Harper with wife Victoria, continued:  "When you actually become a parent, it changes you in so many different ways,"

Ted replied: "You just want to be with them. It does make you grow up and feel special."

Opening up about becoming a dad for first time in 1999 when his son Brooklyn was born, David admitted: "I remember the moment when Brooklyn was born, I slept with my head against the door because I was so worried that someone was going to come in.

"I don't think that ever changes, you always worry about them."

Agreeing, Ted said: "That's a part of being parents. What I'm chuffed about with your boys is how polite they are."

David and Ted have had a tricky relationship over the years after he split from mum Sandra in 2002 after 33 years of marriage.

Things became even harder between them after Ted released the book David Beckham: My Son in 2005.

They later made up after Ted suffered a heart attack and have been close ever since.
