MEL B has befriended a new Ginger Spice while on tour – striking up a friendship with Jess Glynne.
The pair, who have a 15-year age gap, have been on the road together, with Jess being the opening act for the Spice Girls reunion shows.
Initially Mel and bandmates Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton were unhappy about Jess being signed up for a bumper fee of £1.3million to be the support act.
But Mel has now become good friends with the All I Am singer.
She shared a video on Instagram of them enjoying a cosy takeaway in her hotel room on Sunday night – which came a week after they went clubbing together in Manchester. A source said: “Mel has really wanted to get to know the cast, crew and everyone involved in the shows.
“She and Jess are actually pretty similar in many ways and it’s been nice that they’ve been able to share their experiences in the music industry.
“Mel is an absolute hoot, so it’s been fun for Jess to get to know her too. They’re having a blast.”
Jess is believed to be earning £100,000 per show she performs on the 13-date tour.
The last three concerts of the run take place later this week at Wembley Stadium.
Even with the Spice Girls’ earnings, the drinks are sure to be on Jess.

Bebe
BEBE Rexha is flying high with hit tunes – after writing one on a plane.
The singer, who collaborated with Chainsmokers on Call You Mine, said inspiration struck during a flight, leaving fellow passengers confused as she sang into her phone.
Bebe explained: “I could be in the bathtub and something might just hit me. Just recently I was on a plane when I had an idea that I just had to get it down. I was recording things on my phone, hoping people wouldn’t think I was crazy.”
She posed for this saucy shot for the latest edition of Voir Fashion magazine and told them she hopes to release her second album this year.
She said: “I’ve been working hard on it, and I’m very proud!”
Mix hit pretty payday
LITTLE Mix made a whopping £1.65million each from touring last year – and now they have another bumper payday on the way.
The foursome are in advanced talks to sign a £1.5million campaign with online fashion giant Pretty Little Thing, which is set to net them the tidy sum of £375,000 each. The edgy collection, which is set to be released in time for the Christmas party season, will be marketed as high fashion designs at high street prices so young fans can afford to buy the creations.
A source close to the group said: “The girls all love clothes and have developed a strong sense of style over the years. They want their range to look expensive and chic, drawing from some of their videos and shoots they’ve done.
“But they know they have a lot of young fans, so they don’t want to alienate them with pricey outfits. Each member will try their hand at designing and they can’t wait to do a really fun shoot.”
They’re giving the Spice Girls a run for their money at being the most business-savvy girl group out there.

Corden lit up awards
JAMES Corden larked about on stage at the Tony Awards in New York and gave a nod to all the nominees in his eccentric opening number Doing It Live.
There were jazz hands for Chorus Line, cowboy hats for revival Oklahoma! and a nod to folk musical Hadestown, which came away as Sunday’s big winner with eight gongs.
Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston was named Best Actor in a leading role in a play for his part in the National Theatre’s Network.
The Broadway adaptation of 1982 Dustin Hoffman film Tootsie also took home an award.
It’s only a matter of time until Gavin And Stacey: The Musical gets made and James wins himself.
