Inside Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter’s stunning home with huge fireplace, carousel horse under the stairs and quirky furniture

EMMERDALE fans are used to seeing Lucy Pargeter cuddled up with on-screen husband Paddy Kirk in their cosy country home in her role as Chas Dingle.

But in real life, the 42-year-old's house is much quirkier - with a carousel horse on display under her open staircase and a bright pink sideboard covered in flamingo and palm print taking centre stage in another room.

Until recently, Emmerdale star Lucy shared her home with long-term partner Rudi Coleano and their three daughters, Lola, 13, and two-year-old twins Missy and Betsy.

This could go a long way to explain why Lucy has the silver fairground horse on display - to add a touch of child-like joy to her home.

In front of the horse is a perspex play pen for her youngest two daughters, with Lucy sharing a snap on Twitter in November 2017 with the caption: "When you want a play pen that doesn’t spoil the look of your house !!!! Thank you miramira .....it’s beautiful."

Her quirky interiors don't stop there, as Lucy has also shared a picture of another pride and joy in her home; a bold and colourful sideboard.

The unit features bright pink edging, while the doors and drawers are covered in a colourful print featuring palm leaves, flamingos and other tropical animals.

She wrote alongside a snap of it on Twitter: "I’m so excited @mucknbrass to be finally getting my hands on one of your pieces.... I just wish I had more room for your inspired furniture."

Behind the unit, equally bold wallpaper can be seen, proving the Emmerdale star isn't afraid of putting her stamp on things.

However, her home does feature more traditional aspects including a log fire, with a white buddha figure sitting on the hearth.

Lucy also has a buddha head statue on her porch, showing it off as well as her bay windows with white Venetian blinds in another social media post.

Her little girls also had an impressive crib when they were small, featuring a white canopy over the top.

Their room also featured a large white free-standing mirror.

Last week, it was revealed Lucy had split from boyfriend Rudi after being engaged for 12 years.

A spokesman for the couple told : "Lucy Pargeter has confirmed she has separated from her long term partner Rudi Coleano and while no longer together their main priority is raising their three daughters."

Despite never marrying the pair were engaged for 12 years.

They came close to tying the knot in 2012. Lucy said: "We were in Dubai about a month ago and we said: 'Sod it, while we're here, let's do it'.

"Then I thought all our mates would be like, 'Oh cheers, thanks for the invite'."
