GAME Of Thrones star Kit Harington mocked his failing movie career and admitted that he feared for the future days before he entered rehab.
Earlier today a representative for the 32-year-old actor confirmed to The Sun that he was getting treatement for alcohol issues and stress.
They said: "Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues."
However, it seems that the star had publicly mocked his career after Game Of Thrones during an ominous television appearance on Saturday Night Live last month.
Kit- who starred as Jon Snow- had been presenting the US comedy show for the first time just days after the HBO series' season eight premiere when he began his monologue by discussing life playing the hero and addressed some of his lesser-known roles such as in the movie Pompeii and Silent Hill: Revelation.
He said: "Many of you have seen me on Game Of Thrones, which is probably a good thing, some of my other credits include the movie Pompeii - which was probably more of a disaster than the event it was based on.
"I was also in a movie called Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. Anyone a fan? No I didn't think so."
Kit was later interrupted by wife Rose Leslie, who, sitting in the audience, joked 'how will we survive' following the end of his stint as Jon Snow.
Rose asked: ""I don't care about [the finale], I'm not a nerd. My question is, what are we going to do for money now?"
"We didn't save anything, and you kept telling me 'I'm the King of the North, we can order Uber Eats every night.'"
The exhausted star has been staying at the luxury Prive-Swiss health retreat in Connecticut for nearly a month according to
On the day the Game of Thrones' finale aired, Kit was seen in a bookshop close by to the private facility where he is allowed to come and go.
He told staff at the RJ Julia Booksellers in Madison at the time that he was on holiday.
Kit arrived at the facility weeks before the show came to an end on May 19, according to Page Six.
The outlet added the actor has been undergoing psychological coaching, practising mindful meditation and cognitive behavioural therapy while at the facility.
This is to combat stress as well as deal with negative emotions, with his stay costing over £94,800 a month.
And according to Page Six sources, Kit's wife Rose Leslie, 32, has been "extremely supportive".
They said: "The end of GoT really hit Kit hard …
“He realised ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, 'what next?'
“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.
“His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest.
"Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”
But this isn't the first time that the actor has voiced his concerns, as he previously revealed how he was left feeling "frayed and vulnerable" after being killed for the first time.
Speaking to , the Brit actor said: "It wasn’t a very good time in my life. I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable.
"I had a shaky time in my life around there — like, I think a lot of people do in their 20s.
"That was a time when I started therapy, and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn’t talking to anyone.

"I had to feel very grateful for what I have, but I felt incredibly concerned about whether I could even f***ing act.
“You get people shouting at you on the street, ‘Are you dead?’ At the same time you have to have this appearance.
“All of your neuroses — and I’m as neurotic as any actor — get heightened with that level of focus.”
