THE X-Men film franchise is returning with its latest addition, X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, but when will it be released and who stars in it? Here's what we know.
What will happen in X-Men: Dark Phoenix?
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is loosely adapted from Chris Claremont and John Byrne's classic 'Dark Phoenix Saga.'
It's set in 1992, a decade since X-Men: Apocalypse and the X-Men have been embraced as superheroes.
When a solar flare hits them during a rescue mission in space, Jean Grey loses control of her abilities and unleashes the Phoenix.
The Phoenix offers her the power to save her friends and herself.
But back on Earth, a group of powerful mutants called the Hellfire Club start secretly manipulating Jean's mind.
They tap into her dark side but, unfortunately, aren't able to control what they have found there.
Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of the planet.
