F1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone, 34, and mum Slavica, 60, haven’t spoken for a year
Tamara accused her of interfering in her life
TAMARA Ecclestone refused to speak to mum Slavica for more than a year in a bitter feud.
The socialite, 34 — daughter of ex-Grand Prix mogul Bernie — accused wealthy former model Slavica, 60, of interfering in her life.
A pal revealed last night: “It’s been incredibly stressful and sad.
“Slavica and Tamara have always been very close. Slavica has provided for her extremely well over the years.
“But they had a huge, long-running row two years ago, with Tamara thinking she was meddling in her business too much. They stopped speaking.
“It was no secret among their closest friends and family. Things got pretty nasty.”
However, they began patching things up when her mother had to go to hospital, where Tamara visited her.
The source added: “When Slavica fell ill last year, Tamara realised blood was thicker than water and went to see her.
“They have been tentatively getting their relationship back on track ever since. Slavica even went to the birthday of Tamara’s daughter Sophia in March.
“And Tamara recently recorded a podcast in which she praised her mother and said some lovely things.
“It was a real olive branch and she wants everything to get back to normal now.”
Tamara remains close to sister Petra, 30, and devoted dad Bernie, 88.
She and former stockbroker Jay Rutland, 38, tied the knot in a £6million French Riviera extravaganza in 2013.
The couple and five-year-old daughter Sophia — affectionately nicknamed Fifi — live in a £70million mansion in one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods.
Bernie and Croatian-born Slavica divorced in 2009 after 24 years on the grounds of his “unreasonable behaviour”.
An unusual divorce settlement sees Slavica pay him around £60million a year from her trust fund, court papers have revealed.
