Game of Thrones’ Gwendoline Christie predicted who would take the Iron Throne TWO years ago
Gwendoline's co-star Nikolaj rubbished the suggestion - insisting that it 'made no sense'
GAME Of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie predicted that Bran Stark would win the Iron Throne TWO years ago - but her co-star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau insisted that it "wouldn't make sense".
The popular fantasy series came to an "underwhelming" conclusion earlier this week, with fans being left "disappointed" when Bran was crowned King of the six kingdoms after eight seasons of fighting.
The decision for Bran, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, to win the battle for the throne was unprecedented for most - but 40-year-old Gwendoline, who played Brienne of Tarth in the show, guessed the outcome years ago.
The British star was being interviewed by Mario Lopez for alongside Nikolaj, 48, in 2017.
Nikolaj, who played Jamie Lannister, revealed that he believed Daenerys Targaryen or the Night King would end up on the Iron Throne, to which his co-star replied: "But don't you think it's going to be someone out of left field?
"Don't you think those two are the obvious choices?
"What we know about the show is that it constantly surprises you, so I'm wondering if it might be Bran."
Explaining her reasoning, Gwendoline continued: "Just because we keep seeing the world from his perspective, we keep seeing the visions.
"Is he in the future projecting in the past?"
Nikolaj cut the star off, insisting that her theory couldn't possibly be true.
He said: "The Three-Eyed Raven as the King? That doesn't make sense.
"He's already seeing the future and planning the future and the past."
Gwendoline hit back: "How do you know we are currently in the present in the story? The story might not be in chronological order."
But Nikolaj wasn't having any of it, scoffing: "If this is real then he also told Jamie to push him out of the window", referencing the show's very first episode which saw Jamie shove Bran out of a tower, crippling him for life.
While Gwendoline may have been on board with how the finale panned out, most of the fans sided with Nikolaj in this clip - with the show's epic conclusion being slammed as viewers insisted that the story didn't make any sense.
They were also outraged by the multiple storylines that have been left unfinished, including Jon Snow's legitimate claim to the throne as a secret Targaryen.
