Natalie Portman says Moby is ‘creepy’ after he made an ‘inappropriate’ move on her when she was just 18
The actress lashed out after the singer said the pair briefly dated in 2001
HOLLYWOOD star Natalie Portman has lashed out at “creepy” US singer Moby after he revealed they had briefly dated in 2001.
The actress insists she was just 18 when he, then 33, made a move on her.
The musician, real name Richard Hall, told of the dates in his autobiography, Then It Fell Apart, which came out last month.
He said he was relieved when she ended it because he was suffering crippling anxiety.
But she hit back: “I was surprised he characterised the very short time that I knew him as dating, because my recollection is a much older man being creepy with me when I had just graduated high school.
“He said I was 20, I wasn’t. I had just turned 18.

“That he used this story to sell his book was disturbing.”
She added of Moby, behind 1999 hit Porcelain: “We hung out a handful of times before I realised this was an older man interested in me in a way that felt inappropriate.”
