MEL B has revealed the truth behind her "painful and severe" eye scare that left her BLIND.
The Spice Girl has been left needing an eye patch after being rushed to hospital when she lost vision in her right eye last week.
Mel had been diagnosed with severe iritis in her right eye and uveitis in her left eye.
Iritis is inflamation that affects the coloured ring around an eye's pupil while uveitis is inflammation of the middle coloured layer of the eye, medically known as the uvea.
After thanking fans for their support, Mel explained: "I had an awful experience last week when I went blind in my right eye and my left eye went blurry.
"I was NOT ok and this has NEVER EVER happened to me before.
"I was actually in a lot of pain and very scared but thanks to the incredible eye specialists in A&E at London’s Moorfields Hospital and after at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital I was diagnosed by and eye specialist with severe IRITIS in my right eye and UVEITIS in my left eye."
Revealing she's now on lots of medication to help fix the issue, she added: "I’m taking multiple prescription heavy duty eye drops and other medication the dr gave me that I have to take every day to keep the inflammation under control.
"Also I’m being so well looked after by Team Spice special thanks to our paramedics too!!
"I'm still dealing with it and will be for the next 3/4 months to fully get it under control but I’m no longer worried that my condition will get worse."
The star will now need to wear an eye patch when the Spice Girls go on tour later this month.
She enthused: "My only problem now is I have to find a very cool Scary eye patch. Does anyone - apart from Madonna - know where I can get one ?? Pls thank you 🇬🇧."
Mum of three Mel revealed her sight problems five years ago and revealed that botched laser eye surgery left her with a number of issues in her left eye.
