How Clean Is Your House? star Aggie MacKenzie says clash during PANTO caused rift with co-host Kim Woodburn
Aggie, 63, has not spoken off camera to Kim, 77, since the bust-up at a theatre in Brighton in 2007
HOW Clean Is Your House? star Aggie MacKenzie claims a rift with her ex co-host was caused by an incident in a panto interval.
The Scottish telly star, 63, has not spoken off camera to Kim Woodburn, 77, since the bust-up at a theatre in Brighton in 2007.
Aggie, who fronted the hit Channel 4 programme for six series, accused her of “overstepping the mark” during the row.
Speaking about the incident for the first time, Aggie said: “We were doing panto in Brighton.
"I was so shocked and upset and angry. I lost my rag with her.
"I said, ‘You’ve really overstepped the mark now!’.
“She didn’t apologise and I thought, ‘Right, there’s a line drawn here!’.”
The cleaning show, which saw the duo go into filthy homes and overhaul them, was a ratings hit for the broadcaster but was axed in 2009, two years after their fall-out.
It led to spin-off shows Too Posh To Wash and When Kim & Aggie Went To Hospital, a best-selling book and DVDs.
But Aggie — who has a new recipe book, The Miracle of Vinegar, out now — added: “We carried on working together for quite a while but the only speaking we did was on camera.
“It had all come to a bitter end. We’ve never spoken since.
“Any fondness I might have had was overshadowed by the bad times.”
Kim said: “No comment.”
