Katie Price’s ex Kieran Hayler takes swipe at his former wife saying celebs that obsess over their looks have a negative impact on kids
KIERAN Hayler has made a sly dig at ex-wife Katie Price by saying celebrities that “obsess over their looks” are bad role models to young people.
The father-of-two, 32, reveals he’s banned his children Jett and Bunny from using iPads and iPhones in the hope they will avoid using social media for as long as possible.
In an exclusive interview, Kieran said: “Social media really affects young people – there aren’t enough restrictions around it at all.
“I have children now and I need to think about their future as well. People obsess about their looks because of what they see on social media.
“They base themselves on these ‘role models’ but that isn’t real life – and then you get normal people that want to look like these celebrities.
“It’s not possible – there’s so much pressure on younger people to look good.
“My kids Jett and Bunny are too young for social media but I am very strict and against iPads and iPhones.”
Kieran revealed he learned to cope with negativity in his life from his ex-wife – who he says is the queen of dealing with intense pressure.
He said: “There is a lot of negative stuff said about me all the time and I have to block it out so that is what I do and I try to not listen to it.
“At the end of the day I learned from the best and that is all Katie is about. I learned from the best and I learned from her to ignore all that sort of stuff.”
Former glamour model Katie was dumped by boyfriend Kris Boyson this week after sources claim he was “mortified” following her appearance at G-A-Y Porn Idol.
She carelessly exposed her surgically enhanced breasts while being groped by a drag queen – and performed a rendition of A Whole New World, which she previously sang with ex-Peter Andre.
Despite her antics Kieran says the ex-couple are “amicable” – and he’s desperately trying to get his life back on track.
He said: “I am trying to get my life back together and I am getting there. We are amicable for the sake of the children but that's about it.”
