Game Of Thrones fans spot another show blunder as the sea around King’s Landing disappears in latest episode

Eagle eyed viewers took to Reddit after they noticed the drastic change in the city's climate

GAME Of Thrones fans have spotted another blunder after realising the sea around King's Landing had disappeared in the latest episode.

Daenerys Targaryen travelled to see Cersei Lannister in season eight episode five at her home in the capital of The Seven Kingdoms.

As she arrived, the mother of dragons (Emilia Clarke) was greeted by Cersei (Lena Headey) who was standing at the top of her fortress's walls surrounded by her fleet and several giant arrows.

The evil queen was accompanied by Daenerys' loyal supporter Missandei, who she had captured and bound as she stood on a platform on the edge of the castle walls, before negotiations turned soar and she executed her.

But while Game Of Thrones fans were gripped by the brutal clash of the powerful female characters, others were confused as to why the capital, which was once surrounded by water, looked like it was in a desert.

One fan asked Reddit: "Everyone's talking about the coffee cup but can we talk about why the f*** King's Landing is now in a desert without mountains?"

And another fan replied: "I don't understand where this even is, isn't KL surrounded by water except for the entrance?"

However a third explained: "The sea receeds during winter, like a super long lasting low tide. This is one of the areas where the bay has receded leaving barren area leading up to a city wall."

And another diehard fan simply stated: "It has 7 gates. I am sure one of them is like this one."

Meanwhile, another fan theorised that Cersei had "moved" Kings Landing further south to Dorne as a strategic move.

They explained: "Guys stop being dumb. It's obvious that while Jon and Danny were fighting the dead Cersie took the opportunity to move Kings Landing to Dorne. This is an excellent strategic move on her part and I'm so annoyed people don't get it smh."

This isn't the first time that fans have spotted a major plot hole blunder in recent weeks either, as a coffee cup was spotted in front of Daenerys during a banquet in Monday night's episode.

As she stared sadly at the revellers from her spot at the head table, a coffee cup sat just in front of her amid the medieval props.

Noticing the awkward blunder, one fan tweeted: "They seriously left a Starbucks cup in a GoT scene... I don’t even know what to say... How didn’t anyone spot this on set, let alone in post?"

Another wrote: "I still can’t believe they left a Starbucks cup in this scene from the biggest show on television....."

A third joked: "I missed the story arc where Dany discovers Pumpkin Spice Lattes."

Addressing the gaffe, HBO revealed the cup was actually a craft services coffee cup, not Starbucks and added: “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”
