Joe Pasquale’s sick dad dies before seeing son on All New Monty after he signed up to raise money for prostate cancer

JOE Pasquale's ill father tragically lost his cancer battle before he got the chance to see his son take part in the All New Monty to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

The 57-year-old comic stripped off for the show in honour of his dad, Joseph, who was battling the disease at the time.

Joe appeared on the ITV show alongside a host of other celebs, including snooker legend Willie Thorne and Love Island's Jack Fincham - who appeared on This Morning earlier today.

Speaking to the hosts, Willie broke Joe's sad news.

He explained: "Joe Pasquale lost his father a few weeks ago.

";He was on the show when his father was alive.

"Condolences to Joe - it was great working with him.";

Previously discussing why he signed up for the show, Joe explained: "The reason I'm here is my dad has prostate cancer.

"You've got to go and do it, if you can get your willy out on telly, go and do it and I'll be proud of it."

The programme aims to raise awareness and money for testicular and prostate cancer and will air tonight on ITV at 9pm.

As well as Joe, Willie, and Jack, Emmerdale’s Kelvin Fletcher, Crimewatch’s Rav Wilding, Dancing on Ice star Matt Evers, and ex-footballer Jason Cundy also took part in the show.

The female version of the show will air tomorrow night at the same time, with Love Island's Megan Barton-Hanson, actress Crissy Rock, EastEnders' Laurie Brett, So Solid Crew's Lisa Maffia, Towie star Danielle Armstrong, and tennis champ Martina Navratilova stripping off to encourage women to check their breasts for cancer and have regular smear tests.
