Line Of Duty fans predict who the final H will be – but admit confusion over dramatic finale
Dans moaned they disappointed by the ending because it failed to tie up all of the loose ends
LINE Of Duty fans are desperately trying to predict who the final H will be after series five came to a dramatic end without a conclusion.
Viewers were left confused about the ending and admitted they were disappointed about having to wait another year for the answers to all of their burning questions.
Despite top bods trying to pin it on Superintendent Ted Hastings, a shock twist revealed H is not one person, but a group of four bent people working within the police force.
Police lawyer Gill Biggeloe was exposed as the bent copper had been working alongside Dot Cottan and ACC Hilton who were brought down in previous series.
But the fourth member is still unknown.
One let down fan said: "Fan loyalty being stretched to limit. I don’t want a 6th series I just want to know who bloody H is!!! Cough it up! #LineOfDuty #LineofDutyFinale."
Someone added: "I know it’s 4 people now but who’s the 4th? I’m so confused #LineOfDuty."
Another said: "Ok I’m slightly disappointed and quite confused #lineofduty."
Someone else said: "DISCUSSION: Line of Duty!! So H isn't one person it is 4 people who are corrupt right ? Who is the fourth PERSON? I'm I'm abit confused #LineOfDuty."
Another joked about the Line of Duty writer, saying: "I dont even think Jed Mecurio knows who 'H' is #LineOfDuty."
While some moaned about the loose ends not being tied up, others started to guess who H will finally be revealed as.
Detective Inspector Kate Fleming
She has been working closely alongside DS Steve Arnott to uncover the truth about H for the past two series.
But fans have noted that she's been acting shady lately - and just happened to be the one who recorded Dot's dying declaration that has pinned all hopes on finding the bad guys on one letter.
A viewer said: "I said Kate Fleming is a bent copper so I'm going to stick to my guns despite appearances and play the long game. Hopefully a couple of sharp plot twists in the future for #LineOfDuty."
Chief Inspector Philip Osborne
He was the leader of the Counter Terrorism Unit of Central Police who had a close relationship with (formerly) Chief Superintendent, Assistant Chief Constable Derek Hilton.
He lost his job in series two and has been keeping a low profile ever since.
A fan claimed: "Hmm! Said it 2 years ago and still say it. How about Chief Inspector Osborne as our main man from series one?
"Made Steve lie, pally with top brass and Hilton, he was with 'The Caddy'? #LineofDuty. Would take the story full circle, just saying. 'H' was always too obvious!"
Detective Chief Constable Mike Dryden
Mike Dryden was replaced in series five by Detective Chief Constable Wise after coming under suspicion from AC-12 in series two.
He was forced to resign after photos emerged of him with corrupt officer Manish Prasad and having a sex act from a 15-year-old girl.
One fan said: "I still think it's Dryden. Or at least it would make more sense. Is there a 4th Caddy or is that Hargreaves? Why hasn't his role with the OCG been explained? #lineofduty #H #hargreaves #Dryden #headhurts."
Detective Constable Nigel Morton
Nige was a colleague of Dot in series one who made money on the side by taking bribes and faked his own disability.
He hasn't been seen since series three, so there's a strong chance he could pop back up.
A viewer wondered: "#LineOfDuty heres a theory, H is Nigel Morton from series 1-3. Now that would be a twist and a half!"
