Britain’s Got Talent dance group Iconic ‘reunite’ Victoria Beckham with the Spice Girls

While the real Spice Girls will tour the country's stadiums as a four piece this summer, it's up  to youngsters Iconic to show us what might have been

BRITAIN'S Got Talent will see all five Spice Girls reunite tonight as Victoria Beckham rejoins the iconic group - but there's something distinctly different about this line-up.

Sadly for fans of the world famous girl group, the quintet is in fact made up of young girls belonging to dance group Iconic.

But they do a very good job of capturing the character of Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger and Posh during their lively routine.

All the favourite looks are there from the instantly recognisable Union Jack dress to Mel B's leopard print, Baby's hair ribbons and Posh's oversized shades.

Last week the real Victoria dashed all remaining hopes of a proper Spice Girls reunion - after officially changing her occupation from “singer” to “fashion designer”.

The former pop star made the switch on official documents registered at Companies House for her former bands’ company Spice Girls Limited.

The move is the final nail in the coffin for any hopes fans had of seeing Victoria perform with the rest of the Girl Power group during their forthcoming UK tour.

It came just days after Mel C, Mel B, Geri and Emma Bunton started their first rehearsals just a month after Mel B claimed to have had a lesbian fling with Geri in the 1990s, which Geri labelled “not true”.

A source said: “It’s interesting that Victoria has felt the need to make a change to how she is registered on official documents so close to the Spice Girls tour.

“It is as though she’s literally drawing a line under her time as a performer and saying she’s never go on stage again. She is desperate to succeed as a fashion designer.”

Meanwhile another BGT hopeful from tonight's show, Rob King, has revealed that his friend who died in the Manchester Arena Bomb attacks last year gave him strength to do the show.

The 28-year-old singer opened up about how the memory of Martyn Hett, who died aged 29 during the tragic events in 2017, gave him the encouragement to perform in front of the judges.

The Manchester singer told : "Martyn made a huge fuss of each of my pub gigs and used to sit in the front row absolutely screaming each word back at me.

"His friendship, and loss, has been a vital life lesson. He never wasted a second and seized every opportunity.

"After he was taken, the hashtag BeMoreMartyn inspired people to be more positive and go-ahead like him. I think of him every day."

He added: "Martyn’s the reason I applied for BGT. He was on my mind as I stood on stage trembling in front of Simon Cowell. He gave me that strength."

Rob had his first taste of what it was like to sing on a professional stage when he was accepted to take part in the BBC show All Together Now, presented by Rob Beckett and Geri Horner.

The show spurred him on to apply for Britain's Got Talent this year and with the thought of how much Martyn had believed in him encouraged him continue with his dream of being a singer.

He continued: "I know what he’d have done if I told him I made it on to BGT – screamed."

Britain's Got Talent airs tonight on ITV at 8pm.
