Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter and Chesney Brown are having a baby – but when is it due and will they get back together?
The kebab shop worker was stunned when she took a positive pregnancy test last week but what happens next?
GEMMA Winter was shocked in Coronation Street when she discovered she was pregnant with Chesney Brown’s baby. And she was left feeling confused about what to do considering they’ve just broken up.
But after having a heart-to-heart with Dr Gaddas, Gemma decided that she would keep the baby and face life as a single mum. So what we need to know is when will we get to meet the little one. And will Gemma and Ches get back together? Let’s find out…
When is Gemma Winter’s baby due?
During her appointment with Dr Gaddas, the GP told Gemma – who’s played by Dolly-Rose Campbell in the ITV soap - that according to her cycle she was about 6 weeks pregnant. This would mean the baby would be due sometime around December.
But it looks like Gemma could be in for even more of a shock soon. It was revealed earlier this year that Gemma would find out she’s carrying FOUR babies when she has her 12-week scan.
And in typical Gemma style, she immediately starts thinking how she can make some cash from her shock news.
If Gemma is expecting quads though, it means her pregnancy will be a lot shorter as multiple births tend to be delivered early. The average quadruplet pregnancy lasts for 19-31 weeks rather than the usual 40. Because of their early delivery, most quads have to spend at least a month in a special care baby unit.
So will Ches and Gemma get back together?
It would be nice if they did obviously. Ches is already a great dad to his little boy Joseph who he had with ex-girlfriend Katy Armstrong.
And Gemma will need all the help she can get if she gives four babies. Parents of quads will change about 30,000 nappies before the tots are potty trained. That’s a lot of pampers.
Things aren’t looking great for the couple at the moment though. They’re still bickering despite saying they’ll remain friends and tonight will see Gemma quit the kebab shop after the smell of meat starts making her feel sick.
She’ll be seen being comforted by Dr. Ali when she breaks down in tears in the Rovers, but Ches will get the wrong idea when she sees them emerge from the back room together.
Gemma is heartbroken that Ches thinks of her like that and decides to leave Weatherfield, without Ches even knowing she’s pregnant.
